All things Management Systems Auditing

After a career of over 30 years in tourism and hospitality in both Europe and New Zealand, Peter decided it was time to give back to the world and changed careers to become a coach and auditor in sustainability. Initially, his focus was in the tourism and hospitality sectors as a coach and auditor for sustainability organizations such as Travelife for Touroperators, Green Destinations, Good Travel Program and Earthcheck. To do so, Peter took courses at Wageningen University, GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council), and in-house courses at the organisations he worked for as a freelance coach and auditor. Peter started to receive more requests for audits outside his comfort zone. Therefore, Peter decided to take the ATOL ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor course. This gave him the background knowledge to be a better auditor and the knowledge to deep dive into the impact of the EU Green Claims Directive when it comes to certification and auditor requirements.
