How auditing is preparing me for the Tour De Monte Rosa (Switzerland and Italy)
Last Minute Changes
It was with great interest that I read the following update from our Trek Guide recently. I loved the fact that hazards and risks had been identified and that risk treatment plans had been put in place. I thought I’d share it all with you so you could also appreciate it. Take into consideration that our guide is Italian and English is his second language – he did pretty well really!
So, of course the decision has been to hike to the higher altitude and cross the glacier there. I’m not going all that way to hop in a taxi and drive around it! The options have been communicated well and yes, we have options which is also great for those that may prefer the taxi ride.
I do feel like I am in safe hands now that our Guide has demonstrated his understanding of identifying hazards and the associated risks and then providing controls to minimise these.
I can’t wait to share it all with you!
