What qualifications do I need? What qualifications do I receive?
These are questions we receive often, and they are brilliant questions! Whether you are looking to upskill or start from scratch, you are spending your hard-earned cash on training and you want to make sure it gives you something in return. Something you can take with you for years to come.
I can break this down into three different qualifications or areas of recognition. Read on so you can find out which one is right for you.
The national qualifications are those where you may have heard the words NRT or BSB from. These are your traditional qualifications like Diplomas or certificates. We have the Lead Auditor Skill Set which includes four (4) BSB units of:
We normally have a lot of NDIS auditors completing these courses, and we also have some NHVR auditors. You can see that there is a bit of a theme here – this course is more recognized or required by government bodies.
We build those courses to meet certain performance criteria, just like the nationally recognized courses. But these courses are developed to meet Exemplar Global performance criteria; and are recognized internationally. Wherever you go in the world, that certificate is recognized internationally which is a huge bonus.
This last one that I’m throwing in really important – this is industry recognition. For me personally, as a certification auditor, the Exemplar Global qualification is the one that is recognized in that industry. This has served me well. This is what my clients are looking for in the industry I work in.
Now, if I was an NDIS auditor, then my clients would look for the nationally recognized qualification which falls under the Auditing Skill Set. So, in that industry it is different.
Now you can see that it depends on what industry you're working in as to which qualification suits you the best, like what your clients are actually looking for. I would suggest finding out first what it is that your clients are looking for so you can actually enrol in the most relevant qualification for you. Generally speaking, if you are just starting out and don’t have a vision of NDIS as part of that I would suggest sticking to the International qualification.
We do have options where you can complete a course with BOTH national and international qualifications as well. That of course is industry recognition all in one bundle.
First off, find out what your customers want, who you're working for and what qualification they want you to have to give you the work.
Once you have that information, then come to us and we can point you in the right direction to make sure that you complete the course that does give you that qualification that you need in the industry that you work in.
It's that simple, honestly. So, come on over, have a look on our website for those courses that I've mentioned and if you've got any more questions shoot us off an email and we can help you out.
No problems at all!
